From 2013 – 2016 Dai Cheryl and Nudge created a superb event for all land sailers across the UK, No Barriers, and Pembrey, South Wales, one of the best beaches around for an event like this, and around 200 people every year went and had the most amazing experience, massively wide flat beach easily big enough to have your own space even with 200 other buggies, boards and all types of land yachts, this year before the event even got started an old bomb was washed up on the beach. I have only ever heard nothing but praise for all the hard work the team does to put on such a great event like this, and now this bing the last ‘No Barriers’ has finished Nudge, Dai and Cheryl have left an amazing legacy and memories for ever for all who attended. Thank you for all your hard work guys.

Ian Nudge Pearse – WOW I know we said that we would go out with a BANG but we didn’t plan on that! – Thank you all so much for making NB16 amazing. The weather turned out good in the end with the beach in epic conditions with onshore winds and great conditions Fri Saturday afternoon and today. We would also like to thank marshals and helpers that made the event run smoothly, our sponsors and supporters of the event and raffle, Pembrey park for having us and yourselves for making NB fantastic.
As a team we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that have helped us since 2013 and make NB far bigger than any of us could imagine. So here we go: Thanks to Peter Lynn, HQ, MaxTrax, Ozone, Flexifoil, Pansh, jojo, PKD, Weston Windsports, supersaturated, SWATK, CLSC, BKSA, Penny Boards, Rob Mitchell, Stuart Palmer, Vooray, whike, buggybags, mongoose, powerkiteshop, and UFO (I hope I have remembered you all if not let me know and I will edit, I am tired!!) HUGE thank you, to all of our marshals, helpers and beach support. Also BIG thanks to you all for coming along and making it what it has been AWESOME! In your time of coming you have raised well over £5000 in monies for charities, you have eaten over 750 hogroasts and 200 burgers, burn’t a few trees in firepits, drank copious amounts of alcohol, 10 layers of cake, ridden 1000miles on the sand and left with many memories and smiles.
As you will have gathered this was our last NoBarriers event. We do hope you have all enjoyed yourselves as much as we have.So we now close the book on the final chapter….
