41 To make a swan neck correctly, you need some sort of layout, to get the geometry correct. In this case seeing as I cannot use a CAD program I have drawn a full scale lay out on a piece of hardboard, this way if there are any problems they should be highlighted at this point. As you can see from the next few photo’s, the buggy will have a wheel centre of 1750mm, 100mm longer than the Panther, it will also have a higher bend on the side rails and the swan neck will be made from 60mm by 40mm box section. The ground clearence will be 140mm under the side rail plates, but of course the seat will be much lower than this.
