Making a Stainless Race Buggy » 01 Of course you have to start somewhere, and I like to get the plate work done first, in this case as I am working from home, I decided to get the plates laser cut, very expensive

01 I ordered three sets of plates and almost had to take out a second morgage, The first thing I like to do is take any sharp edges off, and using a buffing disc and a mini grinder take out any blemishes on the plates. Here you can see two sets of fork plates, one set as they arrived and the other set after I had spent around two hours getting them somewhere near the standard I want before welding. At this stage, I am just preparing the components to make the forks. I will go into detail about making the forks later.
