On March 26, 2009 was the “dry” Ivanpah Lake (California) the highest rate ever achieved with only a wind-driven land vehicle. The ‘sail car’ Ecotricity Green Bird, directed by the Englishman, Richard Jenkins, achieved a speed of up to 202.9 kph.
